During the month of January, Always a Village is focusing workshops and events on building dementia awareness—and we’re starting the year strong with:

Dementia 101: An Introduction for Dementia Caregivers

This workshop is designed for care partners who want clearer understanding, greater confidence, and more compassionate caregiving tools.

During the workshop, we will discuss:

  • The Global Deterioration Scale and what it means for disease progression

  • Common progressive dementias (Alzheimer’s, Frontotemporal, and more)

  • Potentially reversible dementias

  • Dementia vs. delirium vs. depression

  • A holistic, empathetic approach to maximizing quality of life

  • Practical communication strategies to strengthen daily interactions

Understanding what your loved one is experiencing can deepen empathy, reduce frustration, and help you cope with the many challenges of caregiving—while improving the quality of care you provide.

Cost: $30 per person (includes a printed workbook for notes and future reference)
