Brain Health & Cognitive Wellness

  • Shelby County Public Library, Carnegie East Wing, Room A 57 West Broadway Street Shelbyville, Indiana, 46176 United States (map)

Brain health and wellness affect everyone — but are we truly taking care of our brains to promote cognitive function, emotional wellness, and long-term health?

Join us for an educational workshop focused on protecting your brain and promoting cognitive well-being throughout the lifespan.

ALL are welcome to attend — not just dementia caregivers. However, dementia caregivers are especially encouraged to attend, as we will discuss protecting your own brain health while navigating the daily stressors of caregiving.

Topics will include:
• Cognitive skills required for basic and complex daily living
• Habits to build into daily and weekly routines to maximize cognitive function
• Discussion on the safe use of technology and its impact on our cognitive abilities
• How supporting brain health earlier in life may help reduce the risk of cognitive impairment with age
• Practical ways to care for your own cognitive wellness amidst the demands of everyday life

This workshop is appropriate for adults of all ages!

Cost: $30/person

RSVP to Lauren Ewing via call/text at 317-586-8089 or email at lauren@alwaysavillage.com.

This event is NOT sponsored by the Shelby County Public Library.
